Community

UNSW BE has been a part of the community for more than 60 years. By partnering with communities, and openings our doors for relevant public forums and other events, we ensure that the impact of our work, knowledge and research resonates far beyond the campus gates.

School Engagements

UNSW BE is involved in a variety of activities with schools, including our participation in career markets, the organisation of educational events and workshops.

In 2011 UNSW Built Environment presented at the DesignTECH seminars at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney to over 300 year 11 and 12 Design and Technology high school students.

Every January students have the opportunity to experience life at the Faculty as part of the UNSW Info Day and in September for Open Day.

The Faculty runs on-campus workshops focusing on Architecture, Planning and Architectural Computing. These workshops are offered to students from ASPIRE (students from low socioeconomic status backgrounds), NURA GILI (Indigenous program) and other students from a range of schools across Sydney.
