Sydney Architecture Festival

Building upon our 2010 and 2011 success, Built Environment’s 2012 contribution to the Sydney Architecture Festival demonstrates our unique focus and resonance with the Festival’s theme of Beyond Boundaries and its intention of encouraging celebration, enjoyment and investigation of architecture that is outward focussed and collaborative.

Several exciting events in late October and November will showcase students and staff of the faculty in advancing the theme of Beyond Boundaries.

Digital Computation Studio - Architectural Computing Degree

Location: Forecourt and Indoor Display at Customs House Sydney

UNSW Architecture is once again privileged for our students to be invited to design, construct and install a creative installation in Customs House forecourt for the 2012 Festival.

Building upon the great success of our 2010 CH4 installation - http://www.archdaily.com/105100/roll-play-temporary-pavilion-for-the-sydney-architecture-festival/.  our Year 2 Architectural Computing degree students have created a media wall installation as part of their Digital Computational Studio.

Led by Dr Hank Haeusler with tutors Sally Hsu and Danny Nguyen the students engaged with realising and constructing concepts that explore the creative relation between 3D static space and 2D dynamic images.
