Program Details

Students learn general management and project management principles and techniques, as well as the application of these principles and techniques to the management of large-scale and complex construction projects specifically.

Students will also develop life-long learning and research skills, a capacity to think critically, logically and creatively, to make better decisions and solve problems effectively and ethically.

Program Name: Master of Construction Project Management in Professional Practice
Program Code: 8124
Commencement: Semester 1 (March) or Semester 2 (July)
Program Duration:  1.5 Years

Entry Requirements

Graduate Certificate Construction Project Management (7123)

  • A recognised Bachelor degree in the construction industry related disciplines with grades of credit average or above plus at least 1 year of work experience in the construction industry at a management level, OR
  • A recognised college or university diploma in the construction industry related disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the construction industry at a management level, OR
  • A recognised professional qualification in the construction industry related disciplines plus 5 years of work experience in the construction industry at a management level, OR
  • A recognised Bachelor degree or college or university diploma not related to activities of the construction industry plus a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the construction industry at a management level.

Master of Construction Project Management  (8123)
Admission is available to students with an appropriate degree or equivalent from an approved university in relevant fields such as building, construction management, construction economics, civil engineering, mining engineering, architecture, quantity surveying, property development, real estate, or equivalent, with grades of credit average or above. Professional experience in the construction industry of at least 12 months at a management level is essential in admission selection.
 

Master of Construction Project Management in Professional Practice  (8124)
Admission is available to students with an appropriate degree or equivalent from an approved university in relevant fields such as building, construction management, construction economics, civil engineering, mining engineering, architecture, quantity surveying, property development, real estate, or equivalent, with grades of credit average or above. Professional experience in the construction industry of at least 12 months at a management level is essential in admission selection.

For the Master, Advanced Standing will be assessed on a case by case basis depending on their qualifications. For the Graduate Certificate Program, no Advanced Standing or exemption will be given.
