Program Details
Students can undertake a generalist Master of Property and Development or choose one of the following specialisations:
- Development and Investment
- Asset and Facilities Management
To qualify for the Master of Property and Development Program students will be required to complete a program of study totalling 72 UOC. Since most courses are of 6 UOC, students must usually complete 12 courses. Each course involves about 120 hours of work on the part of a student. Courses require attendance at classes in week-by-week mode. In general the degree requires three full-time semesters of study.
Master of Property Development (Generalist)
Core Courses:
- REST0001 Property Investment (6 UOC)
- REST0006 Property Development (6 UOC)
- REST0010 Modern Property (6 UOC)
- BENV7720 Land and Environment Law (6 UOC)
- BENV7721 Planning and Land Policy (6 UOC)
- SUSD0001 Sustainable Dev & Urban Envir (6 UOC)
Elective Courses:
Any 36 UOC from UNSW postgraduate programs can be selected subject to Program Director's approval. Students may take a 12 UOC research project in place of 12 UOC of electives subject to Program Director's approval.
Master of Property & Development (Development and Investment)
To enable students to graduate with the Development and Investment specialisation they must complete the extended core courses indicated below:
- REST0004 Property Finance (6 UOC)
- CONS0014 Project Management (6 UOC)
- UDES0006 Case Study in Urban Development & Design (6 UOC)
Master of Property & Development (Asset & Facilities Management)
To enable students to graduate with the Asset and Facility Management specialisation they must complete the extended core courses indicated below:
- REST0007 Asset & Facilities Management (6 UOC)
- SUSD0003 Energy & the Built Environment (6 UOC)
- SUSD0004 Human Factors, Sustain & Habit (6 UOC)
Entry Requirements
A recognised three-year Bachelor Degree with grades of credit average or above.
