Program Details

This Program is an advanced interdisciplinary coursework program which provides opportunities for graduates from a wide range of backgrounds (e.g. architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, building, property development, civil engineering, etc.) to enhance their knowledge and skills in the application of the principles of sustainable development to the planning, design, construction and management of buildings and the urban environment. While approached from an international perspective, the program places special emphasis on the rapidly developing South East Asian region.

The Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters degree are fully articulated programs which allow for flexibility in course selection and progression. It is possible for students to start with a graduate certificate and progress to a graduate diploma or masters, depending on results.

Entry Requirements

Master of the Built Environment in Sustainable Development (8132)

A minimum four year Bachelor degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. Where an applicant’s qualifications are not considered adequate, admission may be permitted to the Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate with the possibility of upgrading to the Master program, subject to satisfactory performance.

Graduate Diploma in the Built Environment in Sustainable Development (5132)

A recognised Bachelor degree or equivalent with grades of a credit average or above in a relevant field. Professional experience will also be considered.
