Associate Professor Imriyas Kamardeen is the Director of the Construction Management and Property Discipline at the University of New South Wales. The discipline consists of three degree programs, including: Bachelor of Construction Management and Property, Master of Construction Project Management and Master of Property Development. 

Imriyas is a well-known researcher and academic in the field with a high performance standard. His research and teaching interests predominantly lie in Construction Informatics and Workplace Health and Safety. He has so far authored three scholarly books and numerous articles in international refereed journals and conferences. He has secured several awards, scholarships and grants for his research and teaching. 

Imriyas is also the Editor of Construction Economics and Building (formerly known as Australasian Journal of Construction Economics and Building [AJCEB]), a leading international journal in the field. Moreover, he is on the Editorial Advisory Panel of Management, Procurement and Law and a regularly invited reviewer for many leading international journals in the field. He is also involved actively in key committees at UNSW such as the Academic Quality and Program Committee and Faculty Board.

Imriyas's work experiences range from consultancy to research and teaching. He has worked as a cost consultant before becoming a full-time academic. He has also worked for the World Bank as a consultant.
