About Construction Management & Property
New program structure
The Construction Management and Property undergraduate program offers a flexible “3+1” structure. The three-year Bachelor program gives you the option to graduate and enter the industry sooner. If you wish to further your studies and obtain higher level of learning, we now offer a fourth year Honours degree. You may choose to do a generic Honours degree, or specialise in one of the following areas: building construction, quantity surveying or property development.

The Bachelor of Construction Management and Property (BCMP) provides a comprehensive education in both the construction and property areas. The Honours degree allows you the flexibility to tailor your studies to any of these three specialisations: building construction, quantity surveying and property development.

Meet industry’s demands and learn skills to deliver complex construction projects
UNSW Built Environment offers one of the most respected construction and property programs in the nation, and offers the broad knowledge and skills to meet the demands of the industry. You will study all major building types and examine areas such as building services, structures, finishes and temporary structures in specific detail. You will learn skills involving project planning, risk evaluation, law, cost and quality management, real estate finance, industrial relations and organisation management and gain sound understanding of buildings construction and performance.

Take part in an international exchange program
You will have the opportunity to choose to take part in a foreign exchange program, broadening your skills and knowledge even further. The foreign exchange program gives you a six month overseas experience to study in a partnership university.

Many of our courses are delivered by industry professionals. Our academic staff also have close links with industry professionals. Students are provided with opportunities to work with academic staff and industry professionals on real-life research projects.

- The Australian Institute of Building (AIB)
- The Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS)
- The Australian Property Institute (API, new program accreditation is in renewal process)
