Career Options

Interior Architecture involves the creation of spaces for living, exhibition, performance, recreation, work and commerce - from a home in Sydney, to a hotel in Tokyo.

You may decide to go into private consulting and design for the broad spectrum of public and private sectors that includes corporate, hotel, exhibition, medical and retail spaces.

You may see yourself in planning, project management or construction administration.

Even if you do not want to pursue a career in the built environment, your degree will prove invaluable in a wide range of career options such as event coordination and theatre and stage design.

Some Careers:

  • Private consulting interior designer specialising in residential, retail or hospitality design
  • Corporate interior designer specialising in multi-storey residential, retail, hospitality, medical, hotel or exhibition design.

Professional Recognition

The degree is recognised by the International Federation of Interior Architects/ Designers (IFI) through the Design Institute of Australia (DIA), the professional body representing Interior Architecture and Design in Australia. Your degree will be recognised internationally.
