Trent Schatzmann

Trent Schatzmann, Graduate, BIA, Interior Designer at Woodhead
“During my time at UNSW I learnt from experienced and very knowledgeable lecturers who were always there to help. Diversity in design is encouraged and studio pin-up days were really interesting as everyone had different responses to the brief. I also had the opportunity to study in other faculties, taking advantage of UNSW’s interdisciplinary approach.

"In 2010 I was awarded the University Medal for Interior Architecture as well as receiving the Davenport Campbell Prize for the best performance in the final year Graduation Project, and 2nd in both the Australasian Student of the Year Award and GOTYA Award by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA).”

"The ability to converse with an architect on common grounds is unique to UNSW and was a draw card in my decision to study interior architecture. The annual exhibitions held in the BE building are fantastic and it is reassuring that staff and fellow students are always there to answer any pressing questions regarding study. I have just finished my second year and already have successfully obtained a position at an interior architecture firm."
