Career Options
Landscape architects work in many diverse settings involved with the design and development of sustainable built environments. They work in the public and private sector as designers, planners and managers and often work as part of multidisciplinary teams of urban designers, planners, developers, architects, scientists and engineers. There are very good future prospects for a career in Landscape Architecture as the employment opportunities are diverse and our graduates are keenly sought after.
Some Careers Paths:
- Landscape Architect in a private consulting practice
- Landscape Architect in a division of a multidisciplinary practice
- Technical officer or designer in local government
- Landscape planner in state government
- Landscape planning and environmental management specialist.
Professional Recognition
The program is accredited by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), and graduates holding the BLArch degree may qualify for the internationally recognised corporate membership of the Institute.
