Q&A with Jade Nottage
Director at TomMarkHenry
Graduation year: 2010
Q. Tell us a little about your current role.
A.
As a director I am across all stages of the design and construction process, working closely with a team of designers to realise successful projects. I am also involved in the business management and administration side of the business.
Q. How did your degree prepare you for the workforce?
A.
The degree instilled a passion, drive and focus that is imperative in the industry. Hard work was rewarded at UNSW and I feel this taught me the power of persistence and determination.
Q. What is the most valuable thing you took away from your time at UNSW?
A.
To push yourself out of the comfort zone and not be prepared to settle for second best.
Q. Do you have any advice for current Built Environment students?
A.
Stick at it, even through the exhaustion, it's worth it! Hard work really does pay off, so always give it 100%, but be kind to yourself if you don’t do as well as you would have liked.
