The UNSW Bachelor and Master of Landscape Architecture Class of 2020 is proud to bring you SOVID20 [Sydney Olympic Park x COVID x 2020], a showcase of landscape led transformations of the Olympic Peninsula and Powells Creek Corner.
2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the transformation of a toxic wasteland to the site of the world’s first “Green Games” and setting in motion its reputation as an international hotspot of landscape architecture.
The new Sydney West Metro line and densification for an additional 20,000+ residents present conditions for another radical transformation. The exhibition explores new ecological and social landscape structures and proposes new ways of living in this richly storied changing urban landscape. In uncertain times, student projects present a hopeful future. SOVID20: 110 students, 110 projects, 110 visions.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the launch.
