International Construction Study Trip - China

This international travel course is hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China. During the trip, students will live on HUST’s campus and have a chance to share the learning experience with the local Chinese students, while visiting design institutes, construction sites, building-related government agencies and historical buildings.

Students will attend lectures by partner university staff and workshops with local industrial practitioners, in order to gain a direct understanding of design, construction and project management practice of building-related industry in China. Students will also have language and culture lessons to increase their knowledge of China, ensuring a rich and inspiring learning experience.

Wuhan is the scientific, cultural and educational centre of central China, with its strength in this regard ranking it third among China's cities, behind Beijing and Shanghai. HUST is one of the best universities in China, and its overall ranking is 8th in 2017 out of over 2000 higher education institutions in China.
