The Design Institute of Australia (NSW chapter) have announced the winners of the 2012 Graduate of the Year Awards and we are delighted to announce that BIA scooped the pool across all the major awards:
Graduate of the Year (All Design Categories)
Winner: Tamara Prochnik
Graduate of the Year (Interior Design Category)
Winner: Tamara Prochnik
Second Prize: Sophie Metcalfe
Third Prize: A-Yun Han
DIAS Student Council of the NSW Branch (All Design Categories)
Winner: Sophie Metcalfe
Submissions from UNSW, UTS, University of Canberra, UWS, Enmore TAFE and private design colleges were submitted to DIA and were then subject to a 2 stage judging process by a panel of 7 judges selected from the full range of design disciplines and who are considered to be prominent in their field.
The work assessed covered the last 2 years of Design Studios led by Bruce Watson, Dr. Russell Rodrigo and Dr Sing d'Arcy with tutors Neil Christopher, Sharon Campbell, Phillip Mathieson, Kate Hogan, Harlan Redgen, Jamie Lee, John Gounios and Sarah Roach.
