Urban Block Design Proposal
“A Library From Everyone” aims to create a sense of community within Millers Point, embracing the diversity of cultures, occupations and social statuses within the area. People arrive at Millers Point for different purposes, whether they are visiting, passing by on their commute, hiking the hills to exercise or just walking through their neighbourhood to go home. This project aims to utilise overlapping, interlocking spaces to create a sense of unity and community. A library holds an array of collections, there is always a book for you, and this project replicates this idea into its design: where different people and the space between them co-exist harmoniously.
