Built Environment, Architectural Spatialisation
This course focuses on the critical study of spatiality of the built environment through live sketching and free-hand drawing. Attention is directed to the critical process of seeing, understanding, conceptualising and producing interpretive drawings based upon lived experience. Emphasis is placed upon capturing a sense of spatiality and atmosphere in the built environment developed from advanced fluency in rendering architectural form, detail, material, texture and light. Theories of visual art and architecture inform field studios at various sites around Sydney Harbour.
