City Planning, Equitable Cities

Susan Thompson

The 2nd year Equitable Cities course examines contemporary issues facing planners working in a diverse and complex society. The work shown here addresses the issue of planning for wellbeing and required students to use text and images to communicate how the built environment can support people’s physical and mental wellbeing. This considers how city and town planning initiatives can support healthy behaviours including physical activity,  social connectedness, and access to fresh and nutritious food.
