Increasing Resilience in Pacific Neighbourhoods through better risk analysis and systems based modelling

Cyclones, floods and droughts are common disasters which have drastic impacts on societies and continue to impede development in the Pacific region, yet limited studies have been undertaken in the region. Disaster risk is a function of three interlinked components: hazard, exposure and vulnerability and research in all three categories is crucial to understand the associated risks.
