Innovative design approach to enhancing water sensitivity in semi-arid urban landscapes of drought-prone cities

The provision of a secure water supply has been a challenging task for governments globally, particularly in the context of growing urbanisation in semi-arid cities.

With that in mind, Avazpour’s thesis ‘Innovative design approach to enhancing water sensitivity in semi-arid urban landscapes of drought-prone cities’ involves research into water-sensitive urban design (WSUD) strategies that can be applied in semi-arid regions.

The work, supervised by Dr Paul Osmond and Associate Professor Linda Corkery, is based on multi-criteria analysis and reconciles these strategies to selected case studies.
