George Denny-Smith

Postgraduate Research Student

For his thesis ‘Maximising the social impact of Indigenous procurement policies in the Australian construction industry’, George Denny-Smith is focusing on Indigenous social procurement policies as a way to tackle entrenched Indigenous disadvantage in Australia, and seeking to build on best-practice Indigenous methodologies to increase our knowledge of the social impact these policies create.

George, who is being supervised by Professor Martin Loosemore and Dr Riza Sunindijo, hopes his work will be of importance to policy-makers and practitioners to maximise their efforts to reduce this longstanding problem.
