A study on apartment design strategies in reference to users’ requirements from diverse demographic characteristics: To inform suppliers’ decision-making’ is the title of Hyungmo Yang’s thesis.

The research aims to resolve the problems in current apartment design, which tends to be focused on the requirements of the suppliers, rather than those of users. 

Yang’s study, under the supervision of Associate Professor Hazel Easthope and Dr Philip Oldfield, will be based on analysis of questionnaires and interviews with those who live in apartments, as well as evaluating architectural features using the concept of space syntax techniques in apartment design.
