Is healthy planning equitable? How health supportive is the public realm for people with a disability?

Jason’s thesis examines how equitable the built environment is for people with a disability. His research situates walkable neighbourhoods within the broader issue of healthy built environments, though the lens of inclusivity and accessibility for all. The thesis considers, through both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, how people with disabilities are often excluded from the positive health outcomes and benefits that a walkable, liveable neighbourhood provides.
