Shirleyana

Building Community Resilience in Urban Settlements. The Case of Kampung in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Indonesian villages known as kampung are the focus of Shirleyana’s urban analysis and development research. Her thesis aims to understand communities' risks and resilience factors and develop a resilience framework to ensure the wellbeing and sustainability of people living in kampung and the existence of kampung for the city.
