Dr Carlos Bartesaghi Koc
PhD (UNSW); MBEnv. (UNSW); B.Arch (1st class Hons) (UNSA)
Carlos is a postdoctoral research fellow and sessional lecturer at the Faculty of Built Environment - UNSW. He is currently investigating the thermal performance of different green infrastructure typologies on urban microclimate. Carlos has more than 9 years of experience as architect & urban designer having worked in several design projects. He has also participated as graduate intern at the City of Sydney's Better Building Partnerships office. Over the last years, he has combined teaching/research positions, consultancy activities and studio-based design in NGO’s, private and public organisations. His areas of expertise include: Green Infrastructure, Urban climatology and meteorology, Remote sensing (airborne & spaceborne), GIS, Lecturing, teaching and thesis supervision, Sustainable Development, Urban Planning & Design, Energy Efficiency, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), 3D Modelling (BIM) and Photo-rendering/montage.
