Bio: 

SULEIMAN ALHADIDI is an architect, research scientist and artist. He is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. His research aims to investigate Real-time built environment by using cybernetic machines and robotics. He founded O(n!) Architecture in 2017; an architecture design solution practice to design and build more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable buildings and cities. Suleiman practiced architecture in Australia, USA, Europe and the Middle East. His work has been awarded, exhibited and published in Australia, Italy, Portugal, France, Jordan, China, Hong Kong, Korea and the UK. His current research interests include Computational Design, Smart Cities, Augmented realities, robotics in design, Digital Architecture and Art, Performance and Data driven design, Building Information Modelling, Complex architecture forms and Kit-of-parts and advanced fabrication technologies. Suleiman is an executive director at The Association for Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia.

Suleiman worked previously with well-known architecture practices such as Coop Himmelblau, Laceco, HASSELL and BVN. At BVN he developed applied research work in collaborative robotics and performance driven design on large scale projects such as stadiums and towers. At HASSELL, he established and led the computational design group where he was part of the winning teams for major architecture projects in Australia and Asia.

Suleiman is an active researcher and an academic, at UNSW, he is part of the High-Performance Buildings research group, he also developed courses in computational and data driven design, he also directed cross-disciplinary teams to develop architecture adaptive prototypes which were exhibited and published internationally. He led graduate architecture design studios at the University of Melbourne with a focus on computational design, he was also part of the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Suleiman received research grants to conduct original research work in Computational Design and Building Information Modelling from RMIT and UNSW universities in Australia and acted as a Primary Investigator on several published research projects.
